Shortlstd
Connect your AI to your job search
Your AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and others) can talk to Shortlstd through a secure link. In industry language that link is called MCP — Model Context Protocol. You do not need to know the protocol; you only need the URL below and a Shortlstd account on Launch, Pro, or Elite.
Connector URL
https://www.shortlstd.com/api/mcpAlways use the www address. Redirects from shortlstd.com break sign-in in some clients.
What connecting does
After you approve the connection in your browser, your AI can ask Shortlstd for your current matches, open a job’s detail, fetch a tailored CV or cover letter, read your standard application answers (never disability or criminal-conviction answers), and record that you applied or moved an application’s status.
Shared with your AI
- Ranked matches with labels only (Strong match / Worth a look)
- Job titles, companies, apply links, requirements
- Tailored documents you generate in Shortlstd
- Standard application answers you saved
- Application statuses you choose to update
Never shared or done
- Disability or criminal-conviction answers
- Your password, billing details, or payment methods
- Applying to jobs or driving a browser for you
- Numeric match scores (labels only)
Who can use it
Included on Launch, Pro, and Elite. Free accounts cannot connect. Every plan has daily and monthly limits on each action — nothing is unlimited. Manage or revoke connections any time in Settings → Connect your AI.

Importable skills for Claude
Skills are packaged instruction bundles (a folder with a SKILL.md file, zipped) that teach Claude how to use Shortlstd tools well. Format per Claude’s custom skills guide: upload the ZIP under Customize → Skills, then enable the skill. ChatGPT and Gemini do not share this ZIP import path today — use the connector alone there, or paste the skill text into custom instructions if your client supports them.
